Charter a private jet to Holi
Also known as the ‘Festival of Love’ or the ‘Festival of Colours’, Holi is a popular Hindu festival that celebrates spring, love and new life. We can arrange your private jet charter to India to take part in the festivities, helping you choose from a range of aircraft that suit your needs whether you’re travelling for business or leisure.
Or, if you need a larger aircraft for a group charter, we have extensive experience in arranging commercial-sized planes for a variety of bigger groups. Our dedicated Charter Concepts team can even personalise your charter before departure and whilst on board.
Holi usually falls in March and is observed across India and Nepal, as well as by the Indian diaspora around the world. The vibrant celebrations last for two days, with people lighting bonfires on the first night before famously taking to the streets to throw brightly-coloured paint the following day – a tradition that’s said to symbolise the deity Krishna cheekily throwing coloured water over his milkmaids as a child.
In addition to marking seasonal changes as winter gives way to spring, Holi celebrates the triumph of good over evil in the legend of Hiranyakashipu, a power-hungry king who unsuccessfully tried to murder his son for worshipping the Hindu god Vishnu instead of him.
