Charter A Private Jet To 24 Hours Of Le Mans
We can arrange your private jet charter to 24 Hours of Le Mans, the world’s oldest active endurance car race. Whether you’re searching for a private jet for business or for leisure, we’ll help you choose from a variety of popular private planes that suit your needs.
Unlike fixed-distance races, the 24 Hours of Le Mans winner is the car that covers the greatest distance in 24 hours. This means teams must balance speed with endurance, as mechanical failures will slow their race time down.
Le Mans was launched in 1923, at a time when grand prix racing dominated European motorsports. Designed to test manufacturers and drivers in a different way, the endurance challenge encouraged the development of fuel-efficient vehicles as innovators sought to blend speed with reliability.
Usually held in June at the Circuit des 24 Heures du Mans (also known as Circuit de la Sarthe) in northwestern France, the race begins mid-afternoon and finishes at the same time the following day. Nowadays, cars travel well over 5,000km in that time, with drivers frequently racing for over two hours before a fellow teammate takes over during a pitstop while they eat and rest. Current rules state three drivers can share each competing vehicle.
The competing vehicles were originally road cars that were sold to the public, but today they’re built specifically for the race by a mixture of roadcar, race team and amateur manufacturers. The cars are split into two main classes – prototypes and grand touring – each of which is then broken down into two further sub-classes.
