Calling on the fire department to board a jet
In February 2022, we were asked to help fly an elderly client from California to his second home in Chicago. The wheelchair-bound passenger required assistance to board the plane, meaning we needed to think outside the box to find a viable solution.
Our Solution
Route: Borrego Valley > Chicago
Aircraft: Dassault Falcon 50
Limited availability meant we were unable to find a charter aircraft with a stairlift to help the client get onboard. Thinking outside the box, our experienced team asked the fire department for advice and they offered to assist with getting him on and off the plane in both destinations. We sourced a super-midsize Dassault Falcon 50 for the charter, which had extra room onboard and could complete the flight non-stop.
